Invented by Masahiro Kurachi, Kazuhiro Yamauchi, Satoru Nishioka, Kenji Takashima, Yuichi Kikuchi, Canon Inc

printing technology Electrophotography, also known as xerography, is a printing technology that uses electrostatic charges to transfer toner onto a printing substrate. This technology is widely used in laser printers, photocopiers, and digital presses. The market for electroconductive members for electrophotography, process cartridges for electrophotography, and electrophotographic printing technology is growing rapidly due to the increasing demand for high-quality and efficient printing solutions. Electroconductive members are an essential component of electrophotography. They are used to transfer electrostatic charges to the printing substrate and to transfer toner onto the substrate. Electroconductive members are typically made of materials such as aluminum, copper, and stainless steel. The market for electroconductive members is expected to grow significantly in the coming years due to the increasing demand for high-quality printing solutions. Process cartridges are another important component of electrophotography. They contain toner, developer, and other essential components that are required for the printing process. Process cartridges are designed to be easily replaceable, which makes them a popular choice for businesses and individuals who need to print large volumes of documents. The market for process cartridges is expected to grow significantly in the coming years due to the increasing demand for efficient and cost-effective printing solutions. Electrophotographic printing technology is also growing rapidly. This technology is used in a wide range of applications, including commercial printing, packaging, and labeling. Electrophotographic printing technology offers several advantages over traditional printing technologies, including high-quality prints, fast printing speeds, and low operating costs. The market for electrophotographic printing technology is expected to grow significantly in the coming years due to the increasing demand for high-quality and efficient printing solutions. In conclusion, the market for electroconductive members for electrophotography, process cartridges for electrophotography, and electrophotographic printing technology is growing rapidly due to the increasing demand for high-quality and efficient printing solutions. Businesses and individuals are looking for printing solutions that are cost-effective, efficient, and produce high-quality prints. As a result, the market for these products is expected to continue to grow in the coming years.

The Canon Inc invention works as follows

The electro-conductive member has an electro-conductive support, and an electro-conductive layer in this order, the electro-conductive layer including a matrix and domains, the matrix constituted by a first rubber composition containing a cross-linked product of a first rubber, the domains having electro-conductivity, and dispersed in the matrix, each of the domains constituted by a second rubber composition containing a cross-linked product of a second rubber and an electro-conductive particle, the first rubber and the second rubber being diene-based rubbers, the first rubber having at least one monomer unit, the second rubber having at least one monomer unit different from the monomer unit which the first rubber has; a difference of absolute values of SP values between the first rubber and the second rubber is 0.2 (J/cm3)0.5 to 4.0 (J/cm3)0.5; and a tan ?1/tan ?2 is 0.45 to 2.00.

Background for Electroconductive member for Electrophotography, Process cartridge for Electrophotography, and Electrophotographic Image Forming Apparatus

Field of Invention

The present disclosure is about an electro-conductive element that forms an electrophotographic picture. The present disclosure also pertains to a process cart for electrophotography that uses the electroconductive member and an apparatus used to form electrophotographic images.

Description of Related Art

The electro-conductive member can be used in an electrophotographic apparatus as a charging, transfer and developing member. The charging member and transfer member each have the function of charging the member that is to be charged by releasing electricity onto the member, such as an electronic photosensitive or paper member.

An aspect of the disclosure is to provide an electro-conductive element for electrophotography that can charge uniformly a member, even when compression set has taken place. A process cartridge for electrophotography is also provided in the present disclosure. This contributes to a stable formation of an electrophotographic image of high quality. Another aspect of the disclosure is to provide an electrophotographic apparatus capable of forming a high-quality image.

According to another aspect, a process cartridge is provided for electrophotography. It is attachable detachably to the main body of an image-forming electrophotographic apparatus and contains an electrophotographic member photosensitive and the above electrode-conductive member.

The present disclosure also includes an electro-conductive member that is used to form electrophotographic images.
