Information We Collect About Consumers.

This Privacy Policy defines Personal Information as information that is related to or capable of being linked to a specific person. It does not include aggregate or de-identified information.  We may collect the following types of information about consumers:

Identifiers: PowerPatent might collect real names, nicknames and postal addresses. Online identifiers include Internet Protocol addresses (“IP addresses”), email address addresses, account numbers (Account numbers), Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, passport numbers and other government identification numbers.

Other types of information: These include your physical characteristics, descriptions, telephone number and insurance policy number. Financial information includes bank account, debit card and credit card numbers. Health insurance information. Pre-employment skill testing results. Information collected to perform background checks on potential employees. Additional information that you provide to PowerPatent directly, such as answers to questionnaires, surveys, and financial consultations, is also included. This category contains information that is identified as Personal Information under California Civil Code Section 1798.80 (e) and which is not otherwise classified.

Commercial information: PowerPatent might collect commercial information such as records of business and other properties, products and services purchased or obtained from PowerPatent and our partners, and other buying or consuming history or tendencies.

Internet information: PowerPatent might collect information such as browsing history, search histories, information about the device used to access our website and applications, and information about a consumer’s interactions with PowerPatent’s websites, applications, advertisements, or those of our partners. Information about visitors to our website may include their browser settings, operating system, referring/exit webpages, clickstream data, and other information. PowerPatent might also collect information about your interactions with the email we send to you.

PowerPatent can collect geolocation information. This information may include information about the location of a consumer’s home or other information.

Audio and visual information: PowerPatent can record audio calls between consumers and PowerPatent. When consumers visit our premises, or when they agree to PowerPatent taking their photo or videotaping them, we may make visual recordings. When consumers provide us with visual images, we may also take them. This is for example when they submit them as part of a trademark application. We don’t collect any thermal or olfactory data.

Employment data: We can collect professional and employment-related data. This includes information about professional affiliations, professional history, salary expectations, and employment status.

We receive Direct information is information you give us when you fill out a form online or use the chat feature. Through cookies and other tracking technologies, we may also collect indirect information about you.  Information about you may be collected from someone you know. We may have information about you if we need it to complete inventorship forms, or shareholder information, for example. We may receive information about you from independent professionals who you may arrange a consultation through our Professional Review Plan or other product offerings. We may be able to receive information from professionals such as the fact that a consultation has taken place. PowerPatent cannot control the information that legal plan attorneys share with them, but we do not collect any information where it would lead to a waiver or violation of the attorney-client privilege. We may receive information about you from business partners or affiliates. We may also receive information from affiliates and business partners about products you have purchased after you indicate your interest in an offer from PowerPatent.Your information may come to us from publicly available sources of information, including government records, social media sites, and other commercially available sources of consumer information. We may also collect information from public sources such as whether your entity is in good standing before the Secretary of State, or whether you are interested in buying a PowerPatent product.PowerPatent may have information about you from entities and people with which it does not have a relationship.

How We use the Collected Information.

PowerPatent collects information andmay combine information from different sources to provide its products and services. Information may be used to answer inquiries from potential customers interested in our products or services. These include sending documents to consumers, managing PowerPatent, and showing content tailored to consumer preferences.

Security: PowerPatent may collect information to ensure that our computer networks and physical facilities are secure. Information may also be collected to detect fraud and other suspicious activities.

Legal requirements: PowerPatent collects information to fulfill our legal obligations. This could include fulfilling screening requirements before assisting with entity formations, keeping records as required in the role of Registered Agent or responding to subpoenas.

Marketing: PowerPatent may collect information to market to customers and prospects. PowerPatent offers additional information on how to control the marketing that you receive.

Product Development: PowerPatent gathers information to help us improve our products and develop new products.

Analytics: PowerPatent collects data for various analytics. PowerPatent collects information in order toanalyse how visitors interact with our website and where they leave from. This allows us to gain insights into which consumers may be interested and what products and services we offer. Information may be used to draw inferences about consumer preferences, characteristics and predispositions.

PowerPatent may collect information for operational purposes. This includes our own operational purposes and those of our service providers. PowerPatent might use your information to maintain our website, other infrastructure, quality assurance, training, and quality control, as well as to conduct sweepstakes and surveys to promote our brand and in connection to our relationships with service providers or business partners. PowerPatent shares information with business partners: PowerPatent collects information to connect with consumers who either express interest in hearing from the partner or have purchased a bundle product through PowerPatent.

Financial Reporting: PowerPatent may collect information to be used in financial reporting. PowerPatent might use consumer information to provide financial reports, such as internal budgets and projections.

Business Transfers: PowerPatent may share, sell, transfer, or exchange some of its assets if it is involved in any merger or acquisition, reorganization sale of assets, bankruptcy or insolvency event. This includes information about consumers that we collect in connection to the transaction. Your information could be used or sold to third parties or transferred as a PowerPatent asset in the event of such an event. PowerPatent may use aggregated data, which is not linked to any consumer, for purposes other than those listed above.

How& Who We Share Consumer Information With.

Professionals (including Attorneys and other Professionals): if you purchased our attorney-assisted products, we may share your consumer information with the independent professionals so they can do the work.

Service Providers: PowerPatent may share information about consumers with Service Providers who assist us with completing specific business purposes.  These companies are not authorized to use the information we share with them for any other purpose other than providing services to PowerPatent or to you.

Government Entities:  PowerPatent may share information about consumers with government entities in order to fulfill the products purchased by our customers.  Certain Personal Information becomes public record when documents are filed with the federal or state government, or with a court. For example, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office publishes the names and addresses of trademark and patent registrants. This Privacy Policy does not cover these or similar third-party actions.

Public Postings: PowerPatent may publicly share information about consumers, such as by displaying the information on our website or having the information published in publicly available media, in a limited number of circumstances. We may display personal testimonials of satisfied customers received through email surveys on our website or other marketing.  If you wish to update or delete your testimonial, you can contact us at customer@PowerPatent.com.  When consumers leave us reviews either on the PowerPatent website, or on other publicly available websites, we may display these customer reviews on the PowerPatent website.  If you provide a review that we display and wish to update or delete it, you can also contact us at customer@PowerPatent.com.  We will delete your review at your request or if, at our discretion, we choose not to update your review as requested.Our website includes areas where users may interact with each other, including a question-and-answer section.  Any information that is provided in these areas of our website may be publicly available.  You should use caution when deciding whether to disclose your Personal Information in these areas of the site. To request removal of your information from our community forums, contact us at customer@PowerPatent.com.  In some cases, we may not be able to remove your Personal Information, in which case we will let you know if we are unable to do so and why.When we collect publicly available information, we may share that information on our website.

Required by Law: PowerPatent may disclose consumer information as required by law, such as in response to a subpoena, a lawful request by a public authority, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements, or similar legal process, and when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a legal request.

Related Parties: PowerPatent may disclose consumer information with businesses controlling, controlled by, or under common control with PowerPatent. If PowerPatent is merged, acquired, or sold, or if some or all of our assets or equity are transferred, we may disclose or transfer consumer data in connection with the associated transactions.

In addition to the circumstances listed above, PowerPatent may also share de-identified or aggregate data that is not capable of being linked to any individual consumer with additional entities not listed above.

Cookies and Other Similar Technologies.

PowerPatent and its affiliates may use the cookie feature of major browser apps and third-party services providers, including Google Analytics features (Remarketing and Google Display Network Impression reporting, DoubleClick Campaign Manager Integration, and Google Analytics Demographics Reporting), or employ internal cookies and tracking codes that allow PowerPatent store a small amount of data on visitors’ computers and other devices. This allows PowerPatent to track visitor’s visits to our website and any other plug-ins they use to exchange information with PowerPatent. Similar technologies are also used by PowerPatent, such as JavaScripts, to analyze trends, manage the website, track users’ movements, gather demographic information, and collect data about our user base. Third Party Links

PowerPatent may have links to other websites. Other websites may also have links to PowerPatent’s website. This Privacy Policy only applies to PowerPatent.com. It does not apply to any other websites that are accessible through PowerPatent.com or to the website you use to access PowerPatent. Each of these websites may have privacy policies substantially different from this Privacy policy. PowerPatent does not have any responsibility for the content or privacy practices of other websites. Social Media Widgets. Our website has social media widgets such as the Facebook “like” button, the “Share this button” button, and interactive mini-programs. Request For Your Information

PowerPatent may, at its sole discretion, correct or remove information in certain cases upon verification of your request. However, in some cases, we may have to keep your Personal Information. We may also need to keep it in order to provide a product or service you requested or to another customer.

We will keep your data for as long as it is necessary to provide services to you, as well as to meet our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. PowerPatent may keep some or all of the data in its archives, even after it is removed from the Site.

Information for California Residents

You may also be asked for additional information to verify your identity. This could include a declaration under penalty perjury. PowerPatent will ask for information that matches the information we have about you in order to verify your identity. PowerPatent might ask you to provide additional information such as proof that you are a resident of the United States or government-issued ID. We will not be able to fulfill your request until we verify your identity, as per California law.

Consent to Data Processing in America

We and our servers are located in the United States. United States law regulates the data we collect, including Personal Information, Usage Data and Confidential Information. Accessing or using the Site or Services or providing any data to us acts as consent to processing and transfer of your data within and to the United States, except where prohibited by applicable law. We have or will enter into “Standard contractual clauses” with the Commission of the European Union to transfer Personal Information internationally to third-country controllers and processors, as the case may arise.
